Year 2021 saw a lot of WhatsApp New Features, but, peeps will tell, it’s still behind it’s rival apps, especially Telegram.
The app Telegram saw a huge surge in downloads since WhatsApp Privacy policy was set to renew in 2021. In times like this, it has become more pertinent for WhatsApp to renew some features to be in the race against the rival apps.
Today, we bring you 3 features that are present on the rival apps, which we would love to see On WhatsAPP IN 2022.
WhatsApp New Features we would love to see –
1. Repeat Intermittent notifications:
When you receive multiple notifications from multiple apps when your phone is away, you may miss some of those clubbed notifications in the notification panel. This could include important messages that you may not realise have been received.
Repeating notifications would allow users to be alerted again in a set time for the same message that has already been received so you don’t miss important messages.
However, the user should have the option to set a time for these notifications at regular intervals, let’s say 5 mins, 10 or 15 mins.
2. Auto Delete Account
WhatsApp should come up with something like self-destructive feature (something like we see in Mission Impossible movie!). Let’s say a user did not login for 6 + months, a user should have the option of enabling self-delete account to protect his/her privacy. By the way, Telegram already has this feature!
3. Support for more linked devices
In the era, where Apple has enabled support for multi screens (while doing some work or watching a video on mobile, you can continue the same on you Macbook), WhatsApp should do the same.
Support for more devices may not be a priority addition for WhatsApp, but being able to add more devices will certainly benefit a lot of people who use multiple desktops/laptops and browsers for WhatsApp Web.
