Instagram Reels Ads Launched Worldwide

Instagram Reels Ads

Instagram Reels Ads were in testing phase for quite sometime now. Yesterday, Instagram confirmed that Instagram Reels Ads are launched in all regions.

In the words of the Facebook owned company –

As per Instagram:

“After testing in select countries, today we’re launching Reels ads to the world. Reels is the best place on Instagram to reach people who don’t follow you and a growing global stage where brands and creators can be discovered by anyone. These ads will help businesses reach greater audiences, allowing people to discover inspiring new content from brands and creators.”

Should I start investing in Instagram Reels Ads?

Honestly, it’s too early to comment on this.

Ads work best when they are non-intrusive and appear in an organic format. We are sure that with the full screen option, they would appear naturally between individual reels. Still, it’s too early to say how it would be accepted in different regions.

So far, Instagram also hasn’t shared any performance metric model for the ads. Nor is it yet offering advertisers any creator tools or templates that could help them get started with Reels ads. Instead, Instagram likely assumes advertisers already have creative assets on hand or know how to make them, because of Reels ads’ similarities to other vertical video ads found elsewhere, including on Instagram’s competitors.

In our opinion, if the current advertising model on the Facebook owned platform is meeting your requirements, it’s best to wait sometime to explore Instagram Reels Ads.

Reels started in 2020 as a rival to TikTok. It has been growing since then, however,. could not match up with TikTok’s popularity and engagement. Even Instagram chief quoted sometime earlier that if you are opening TikTok, you are sure to be entertained. They are looking to make Instagram Reels the same.
