COVID-19

People across the globe are desperately waiting for COVID-19 vaccine. So much so, that people are willing to risk their lives to get the trial shots of the vaccine. Recently, a person in UK has some side-effects after the vaccine shot and British medical authorities have warned people with a history of allergies to stay away from the vaccine.

More so, even a lot of local players have started selling out, non authorised vaccines in the wake of the pandemic. Sad, but true. Amidst all this, Google has come up with a smart move.

Now, you can check authorised COVID-19 vaccines, near your location.

This feature will be rolled out in the UK first.

The advertising giant has been consistent on fizzling the rumours since COVID-19 started. It has been adding accurate information related to the pandemic and taking measures to delete false information or claims. In October 2020, Google started removing misleading videos for COVID-19 on YouTube. As per their data, approximately, close to a million videos have been removed. Last week, the social media giant, Facebook also took similar steps to curb misleading information on its portal.

We hope that the new feature by Google will help the UK citizens to find legitimate centres for the vaccine and not misleads into something that can have long term side-effects.

Google says that it will be testing the initial run in the UK and gradually roll out the feature to other countries, as well.
