WhatsApp has set a new world record – 1.4 billion video and voice calls on New Year’s Eve 2020!!!

FB has recently revealed that WhatsApp voice and video calls usage surged by over 50% last year.

Much of this increase can be attributed to the global pandemic and the reason that many people cancelled their New Year plans and either stayed in their homes or celebrated the new year with close family.

Facebook also reported that this year, many people shared the AR effects to celebrate the coming year 2021. In fact, the most rending and popular effect used was “2020 fireworks”, making it to the list of most used effects in a day!
