Twitter has launched a dedicated support for 5 Indian languages ahead of the upcoming Assembly Elections taking place in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Puducherry.
The micro blogging platform has partnered with the Election Commission of India and State Election Commissions to make it easy for voters to find credible and authoritative information about candidate lists, voting dates, polling booths, and EVM voter registration, among other election-related topics.
Which 5 languages has Twitter added?
To facilitate this move, Twitter has launched support in the following 5 regional languages –
- Bengali
- Tamil
- Malayalam
- Assamese
- Hindi
Not only this, the micro blogging platform has also launched a custom emoji for the upcoming Assembly elections ๐
