The social media giant, Facebook has added a new feature that would allow users to export Facebook posts to WordPress. In addition, you can now export Facebook posts to Google Docs, as well.

In December 2019, Facebook allowed transfer to photos and videos to platforms like Google Photos, however, till date the transfer of text was missing, which now has been successfully added.

Step 1: Go to “Your Facebook Information” in Settings.
Step 2: Click on “Transfer Your Information,” enter your password, and then select the type of data and the service you want it transferred to.
Step 3: Enter your password for the service you’re transferring to and then click “Confirm Transfer.”

A few exceptions –

Even thought users can export Facebook posts to WordPress and Google Docs, there are some points to remember –

1. Posts that include photos or videos will be transferred with media content, and there is no option to exclude media content.
2. Only content visible on the profile of the user and uploaded by the user requesting the transfer will be moved.
3. Content that a user posts on a friend’s profile will not be transferred.
4. Content uploaded by a friend, even if the user requesting the transfer is tagged, will also not be moved with the rest of this data.

Facebook has a bad reputation when it comes to data security. Since the time WhatsApp privacy policy was updated, there’s still chaos in the air. Facebook says “the tool is built with privacy in mind, and you’ll need to re-enter your password to begin the transfer. Additionally, data is encrypted during the transfer, so prying eyes shouldn’t be able to look into it.”

Well, it’s up to your discretion to to rely on Facebook as far data security is concerned. However, with its bad data handling reputation, the company has been intermittently focusing its energy to create a positive image among its users.
