On and off, WhatsApp keeps on adding new useful features in order to increase the overall user experience. Recently, a new upcoming feature has been in spotlight.
WhatsApp For Business has introduced a new feature that will offer shopping experience within the chat.
Now, users can shop for goods and services right from the chat window.
As part of the new feature, all the WhatsApp business account users would now directly be able to provide product/service catalogues or brochures to their customers from within the chat window. A dedicated shopping button will be added on WhatsApp which will be rolled out in India soon. The shopping button will let users add items to a cart, and check out from within the WhatsApp chat. This new feature has been specifically aimed towards aiding small businesses, increase their sales revenue, that has been hit hard by the pandemic.
In addition to this, WhatsApp has recently announced that businesses will now have to pay for some services, on the WhatsApp business app. The pricing details haven’t been revealed yet. However, as always, WhatsApp for business app, will remain free for the end user.
Not only this, but, as a part of the join missed call feature, if someone in your contact list on WhatsApp invites you for a group call but you aren’t able to join the call during that time, you’ll still be able to join the ‘missed’ call once you open WhatsApp and if the call is still ongoing. Another feature spotted is Fingerprint Lock and it’ll allow users to protect WhatsApp with the fingerprint.
