WhatsApp was recently in news a week ago due to the infamous OTP scam, wherein hackers across the globe were using OTP to get access to users accounts. Based on that and to make the platform more secure for its users, WhatsApp keep on updating its Terms Of Service (TOS).
As reported first by a website, WABetainfo, WhatsApp is going to change it’s terms and services on February 8th, 2021 and users will have to accept it, or they will be risking losing access to their account.
As a matter of fact, WhatsApp has already started rolling out some updates, in phase wise manner. Have a look at the tweet below by WABetainfo –
The report states on tapping “Agree”. Once agreed, the user accepts the terms and conditions, which have been updated. Post this the user can continue using WhatsApp. However, if the users do not agree, they will lose access to their account.
This update will be in effect from February 8th, 2021.
