There are two ways or types of ‘block’ on Instagram –
- Soft block
- Hard block
Using soft block, you can block someone on Instagram, you can unfollow them or if they follow you, you can remove them as your follower. Tjis way they won’t be able to see your content in their feed.
Use hard block, when you completely want to prohibit someone on Instagram to search your profile.
How to hard block someone on Instagram?
- Go to the profile you want to block.
- Tap the hamburger menu in the top right hand corner
3. Tap ‘BLOCK’
4. Choose your options in the next ‘block’
5. Tap ‘Block’
That person is now blocked. They won’t be able to see your posts, see your Story, or find your profile. They won’t be able to follow you or message you on Instagram, and they won’t be notified that you blocked them.
