Indefinite ban on PUBG, TikTok and other Chinese apps

PUBG TIKTOK

It’s been over half a year since 69 Chinese apps were banned from India, including PUBG & TikTok, and the latest news from Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) says that the order to ban these apps will continue.

PUBG & TIKTOK receive a notice from Indian government.

As per the media reports, Tiktok has confirmed that it has received the notice from the Indian government. According to the company’s spokesperson, TikTok is “evaluating the notice and will respond to it as appropriate. TikTok was among the first companies to comply with the Government of India directive issued on June 29, 2020. We continually strive to comply with local laws and regulations and do our best to address any concerns the government may have. Ensuring the privacy and security of all our users remains to be our topmost priority”.

“The compilation of these data, its mining, and profiling by elements hostile to national security and defence of India, which ultimately impinges upon the sovereignty and integrity of India, is a matter of very deep and immediate concern which requires emergency measures”, the Ministry of Electronics and IT, said during the PUBG AND TikTok ban.
