New Icon for Google Play Store

Google Play Store

Google Play store has a new icon now + a new feature which shows whether an app is trending or not.

This somehow represents the trend of shares in the stock market, upward and downward arrows. The new trending icons are currently showing up on Google Play Store India’s top free app list that includes MX Tak Tak in the first position, followed by Moj short videoSignalTelegram, and Snake Video.

With this, users can easily track, which app is trending in their demographics (if you have location services turned on), and which app is moving down the scale. Even though which app doesn’t show number of downloads, still it’s a helpful feature in determining the latest trends.

Since it is a server-side update, users don’t need to do anything on their own. You can check the availability of ‘trending’ icons by opening the Google Play Store app and navigating to the top row of tabs > tapping on top charts > tapping on different charts.
