After testing for a few months, Instagram has finally and officially launched the feature to pin IG posts to your profile.
In the words of Instagram –
“You can now pin up to three posts (photos or Reels) to remain at the top of your profile grid, giving creators more flexibility to express themselves on their profiles. Starting today, the feature will be available globally to all users.”

How to pin IG posts to your profile?
Notice the 3 dots next to the picture in the screenshot above.
Once you click the 3 dots, you’ll be able to find a new ‘Pin to Your Profile’ option via the three dots function menu at the top right of any post. That’s it!
The interesting part is that you will be able to pin both Reels & Posts.
Another option which is being tested since the beginning of. the 2nd quarter of 2022 is the ability to re-arrange the entire post display on your profile grid. Instagram hasn’t made this feature public yet.
With the coming of this update, whenever it comes, will provide creators a variety of new options to experiment with.
Till then, pinning of posts to IG profile is quite a significant update.
