Starting 31st December 2020, Google Cloud Printing will not be supported on any devices.
Google has announced that cloud printing was started in a beta version in year 2010 and will be ended in year 2020.
In year 2010, Cloud printing was important for Google as the apps did not have native printing support. But, its been many years, since the feature has been added on Chromebook and various other devices, hence, Google does not find this service crucial anymore.
Google has also launched a help page, which contains the details regarding this.
What about Google Cloud Printing on non-Chromebooks?
Well, Google hasn’t laid much clarity on that. If you are not a Chromebook user, you will have to find other options to print from your gmail. This is what Google has to say –
Regardless of whether you migrate to a new way of cloud printing, Google Cloud Printing won’t function from the mod-night of 31st December 2020.
