For quite a while, the instant messaging platform has been working to hide ‘WhatsApp last seen’ from selected contacts. This will soon be possible!
As per a tweet by WABetaInfo –
Here’s how the option of ‘WhatsApp Last Seen’ from specific contacts would look like –
Currently, there exists no option that allows you to disable ‘last seen’ for specific people. However, you can set the option to “Everyone,” “My Contacts,” and “Nobody”. The new change is spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp which will roll out in the near future. The new option to be part of the mix is “My Contacts Except…” which will allow users to specifically choose who you’d want to hide your “last seen” timestamp from.
The basics remain the same. If you happen to hide ‘WhatsApp Last Seen’ from specific contacts, you would not be able to view their WhatsApp last seen as well.
This update will roll out in the future and we have no knowledge regarding which regions and what date. Stay tuned!
