Telegram, an instant messaging service, which gained popularity amidst WhatsApp privacy policy changes, has been working on a bunch of updates. Needless to mention, the sudden increase in the number of people switching from WhatsApp to Telegram has indeed made the developers to make the app in sync with it’s competitors, or even better.
As per the latest announcement by Telegram founder – Pavel Durov, Telegram will soon be adding a new Group video calls feature to the app along with additional support for web-based videoconferencing.
This is what the update read –
“We will be adding a video dimension to our voice chats in May, making Telegram a powerful platform for group video calls. Screen sharing, encryption, noise-cancelling, desktop and tablet support — everything you can expect from a modern video conferencing tool, but with Telegram-level UI, speed and encryption. Stay tuned!”
