Twitter Insights have always been useful, or should we say that all insights have been useful, including Twitter Insights!

Well, it has come to notice that Twitter is now working on its current insights to provide more relevant and deeper information on entertainment and media trends.

The new TWITTER INSIGHTS goal, as quoted by Twitter’s Head of Media & Entertainment – Ged Tarpey –

“The goal is to unpack the latest Media and Entertainment news, trends, and insights on Twitter as they happen. I’ll be sharing my perspective and why it’s important for entertainment marketers.”

“On Twitter, we see that excitement unfold in real-time. Conversations around movies have grown +105% YoY. That’s because Twitter is a place for discovery, discussion, and dissection. When new trailers are released on Twitter, fans from all over the globe share their thoughts and reactions.”

Tarpey also notes that more people are watching trailers on Twitter than ever before, with a 35% increase in daily average organic trailer views, while the discussion around films and fandoms has also expanded into TV, with 72% of surveyed users indicating that Twitter “makes them feel like they are part of an online community” while watching a TV show or movie.

We ascertain that the reason for new Twitter Insights, can be traced back to when the unfortunate pandemic hit globally. Many movie producers and TV shows had to halt shooting because of the global lockdowns. Still, the scar of the pandemic is there with many new variants of the novel coronavirus are deepening that scar, still the show has to go on!

Keeping this in mind, the new Twitter Insights would help those in media and entertainment to focus on what matters, indulge into the deeper insights and reduce the wasteful expenditure in advertising.

Deep Twitter insights will also assist the social media platform in generating more revenue – More and more media and entertainment related trends would now be promoted on Twitter, thanks to the new useful Twitter Insights, which would mean more revenue for the social media platform.

Twitter further says that, with time, Twitter will add more insights to the current media and entertainment series. Not only this, it would expand such insights over to to other series, which would mean more and more advertisers could take the benefit from deeper insights, reduce the wasted expenditure, and focus on their target niche, their behaviour analysed by Twitter insights.
