METAVERSE – Perhaps sounds like a term from a sci-fi movie! And it’s not you alone, millions of social media users are baffled by the question – “What is Metaverse?” Today, we bring you the most simple explanation ever!
What Is Metaverse?
The term was coined 30 years ago by Neal Stephenson in his 1992 novel Snow Crash to describe a virtual world in wide use in his imagined future, a 21st-century dystopia. In Snow Crash, the metaverse is a virtual-reality world depicted as a planet-encircling market where virtual real estate can be bought and sold, and where VR goggle-wearing users inhabit 3D avatars whose form they have freedom to choose.
A metaverse is a network of 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection and it can be defined as a simulated digital environment that uses augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and blockchain, along with concepts from social media, to create spaces for rich user interaction mimicking the real world.
It covers nearly everything, such as games, meetings, and shopping.
To access Metaverse, you must first put on a headset, after which you can connect to the virtual reality interface.
More Simple Explanation –
The metaverse can be understood as a graphically rich virtual space, where people can work, play, shop, socialize — in short, do the things humans like to do together in real life (or, perhaps more to the point, on the internet)
It also translates to a digital economy, where users can create, buy, and sell goods. And, in the more idealistic visions of the metaverse, it’s interoperable, allowing you to take virtual items like clothes or cars from one platform to another.
In the real world, you can buy a shirt from the mall and then wear it to a movie theater.
In Metaverse, you can shop that shirt in a virtual world and go to a virtual movie theater, and watch a virtual movie! (well, we can’t comment on the virtual movie part ;))
How MetaVerse can be used in future?
Well, it would sound like the movie Ready Player One (if you haven’t watched, do watch it! It’s available on Netflix), which was first a book written by Ernest Cline and published by Random House in 2011, was directed by Steven Spielberg and might be the best visual example we have currently of what the metaverse could conceptually look like.
Metverse can be widely
