There’a this WhatsApp new update which will make the instant messaging platform even more secure. As per the latest reports from Meta-owned platform, WhatsApp users will now be able to hide your ‘last seen’ from strangers (ones who aren’t on your contact list).
While WhatsApp currently sets the default ‘last seen’ option to ‘Everyone’, the new update would limit the audience to only your contact list. Given the platform’s appetite to explore and keep introducing new features to provide end-to-end encryption, the new update would only make things more secure for both iOS and Android users.
Despite the availability of the ‘My Contacts’ option in the settings, the platform used to set ‘last seen’ to ‘Everyone’ as a default mode, but it’s now being updated with the ‘My Contacts’ alternative, making the platform more secure.
This WhatsApp new update will surely make things more secure.
