The world is still figuring out 5G connectivity, and there’s some news for 6G in India.
The minister of communication said that they are planning to make this into reality in New Technology and the Green Economy: Two Trends Shaping a New India?” online webinar, 2021.
He further stated that researchers and scientists have already started working on the 6G technology.
It’s a prestigious event organised by the Financial Express and the Indian Express.
“6G development has already started. That will be seen somewhere in the time frame 2024 or 2023-end. That is the direction in which we are going. We will have designed in India telecom software for running the networks, manufactured in India telecom equipment, served in India telecom networks which can go global.“ Ashwin Vaishnaw (Minister for Communications)
Besides the latest 6G technology, India is also in plans to introduce Indigenous 5G by the third quarter of 2022.
Moreover, the 5G spectrum auctions are to be held in the second quarter of 2022.
6G in India will come by 2024 or 2023 end.
