This is the first instance wherein, social media giants like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Google falling in line with Indian governments demands.
This also comes after the government tightened the regulatory mechanism around illegal content, and made companied appoint officers to look into user and government requests under new IT guidelines.
